On Monday, July 27, 2015 at 4:50 AM, four units of Russellville firefighters, including 3 engine companies and 1 truck company, under the command of acting Battalion Chief Dan Roe, along with the Fire Chief and Fire Marshal’s Office, responded to a structure fire at 202 East Shore Dr . Upon arrival, fire companies found smoke and fire venting through the roof of a two story single family dwelling. Firefighters extinguished the fire using offensive and defensive firefighting tactics. The area of origin sustained heavy fire damage with the remainder of the residence sustaining light to moderate heat and smoke damage. The homeowners were not in the residence at the time of the fire. No firefighters were injured as a result of the fire. Fire units remained on scene until 10:15 AM. Preliminary contents and property losses are unknown at this time. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
