[ARCHIVED] Residential Structure Fire

On Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 2:58 AM, four units of Russellville firefighters, including 3 engine companies and 1 truck company, under the command of Battalion Chief Brent Hamm, along with the Fire Chief and Fire Marshal’s Office, responded to a structure fire at 1106 East E Street . Upon arrival, fire companies found smoke and fire coming from the rear corner bedroom of a single story residence. Firefighters entered the structure and quickly extinguished the fire, confining it to the bedroom area. The area of origin sustained heavy fire damage with the remainder of the residence sustaining moderate heat and smoke damage. The homeowner was not at home at the time of the fire. No firefighters were injured as a result of the fire. Fire units remained on scene until 4:51 AM. Preliminary contents and property losses are unknown at this time. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
