Local Trails & State Parks

Bona Dea Trails
Bona Dea Trails are multiple trails within 186 acres of wetland and wooded areas. This hard-surfaced loop trail was designed as a jogging/fitness trail, however, it is excellent for easy walking through the Prairie Creek floodplain. Birds and wildlife are very prevalent and feeding stations and benches are located along the way. The trail has interconnecting loops permitting hikes as short as 1/2 mile or as long as 6 miles.
Lake Dardanelle State Park
Surrounded by the natural beauty for which the Arkansas River Valley is known, Lake Dardanelle State Park is a sprawling 34,300-acre reservoir on the Arkansas River. These 2 water resources combined here have put this area into the national spotlight as a major bass fishing tournament site. Lake Dardanelle State Park offers 2 areas on the lake: 1 park site is at Russellville, and the other is located at nearby Dardanelle. Both the Russellville and Dardanelle locations offer:
  • Bathhouses with hot showers
  • Camping
  • Launch ramps
  • Picnic sites
  • Restrooms
  • Standard pavilions
Mount Nebo State Park
