Russellville Public Works - Traffic Department

The Traffic Department handles the day-to-day current traffic needs of the City street system. This Department is responsible for installation, maintenance and operation of traffic control devices, in the City of Russellville. These devices include signs, traffic signals, and pavement markings. Our primary objective is to achieve a safe, orderly, and efficient movement of pedestrians, bicyclists, and motor vehicles within the community. The Traffic division seeks to minimize potentially hazardous conflicts through the assignment of vehicular and pedestrian right-of-ways at specific locations.

The department is on call 24 hours a day and responds to emergencies, storm situations and malfunctions associated with traffic control devices.
