Board of Adjustment

The Board of Adjustment shall have all the powers and duties prescribed by law and this Code to hear and decide requests for variances or special exceptions, as well as appeals where it is alleged there is error in any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the administrative officer in the enforcement of the Zoning Ordinance. The Board may affirm or reverse, in whole or in part.

The Board of Adjustment consists of five members. Three members of the Board of adjustment shall be members of the Planning Commission and two shall not be members of either the Planning Commission or City Council. Terms of office for the three members from the Planning Commission shall coincide with their respective terms of office on the Planning Commission; while the two other members of the Board shall serve two-year terms.
