Incident: Special Events
With warmer weather quickly approaching, the number of events occurring in the
City will begin to increase. This increase in events includes many outdoor
activities, races, and festivals that will, at times, affect traffic and pedestrian flow
in or near the Downtown Russellville area.
The Russellville Police Department encourages everyone to enjoy and support
these events; however, we ask that everyone exercise patience and caution while
traveling in Russellville during these times. As a result of these events, motorists
may experience temporary traffic delays, detours, or observe runners/ walkers on
the roadway. Most of the events are approximately one hour in duration with the
exception being the RussVegas Half Marathon.
Below is a list of events that have been scheduled thru the end of April:
Run for the Fallen: March 17th from 8:30am – 10:00am
PCLS GloRun for Literacy 5K: March 29th from 8:00pm – 9:00pm
CASA Light the Night GloRun 1K/5K: April 6th from 7:00pm – 9:00pm
Women Can Run Mock 5K: April 14th from 8:00am – 9:00am
March for Remembrance: April 15th from 2:00pm – 4:00pm
RussVegas Half Marathon 1K/ 5K: April 20th from 7:00pm – 10:00pm
RussVegas Half Marathon: April 21st from 6:00am - 12:00pm
Superhero 5K: April 28th from 8:00am -9:00am

The Russellville Police Department strives to provide a safe environment for these
events, but we depend on everyone in the community to do their part. Please be
aware of your surroundings, obey traffic control signs, and have a little patience
as we provide support for these community events.
