Incident: Special Events
With warmer weather quickly approaching, the number of events occurring in theCity will begin to increase. This increase in events includes many outdooractivities, races, and festivals that will, at times, affect traffic and pedestrian flowin or near the Downtown Russellville area.
The Russellville Police Department encourages everyone to enjoy and supportthese events; however, we ask that everyone exercise patience and caution whiletraveling in Russellville during these times. As a result of these events, motoristsmay experience temporary traffic delays, detours, or observe runners/ walkers onthe roadway. Most of the events are approximately one hour in duration with theexception being the RussVegas Half Marathon.
Below is a list of events that have been scheduled thru the end of April:
Run for the Fallen: March 17th from 8:30am – 10:00amPCLS GloRun for Literacy 5K: March 29th from 8:00pm – 9:00pmCASA Light the Night GloRun 1K/5K: April 6th from 7:00pm – 9:00pmWomen Can Run Mock 5K: April 14th from 8:00am – 9:00amMarch for Remembrance: April 15th from 2:00pm – 4:00pmRussVegas Half Marathon 1K/ 5K: April 20th from 7:00pm – 10:00pmRussVegas Half Marathon: April 21st from 6:00am - 12:00pmSuperhero 5K: April 28th from 8:00am -9:00am**All times are approximate
