At approximately 7:32AM Russellville Fire Dept. units E1, L1, E2 and E4, under the command of Battalion Chief Brent Hamm, along with the Fire Marshal's office, responded to 1000 East 10th Street on a residential house fire. Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed a working fire originating from the back bedroom with heavy smoke showing from the gables. Two occupants escaped but sustained injury and were transported to St. Mary’s. The single story residence sustained heavy fire damage. Units remain on scene and the investigation is ongoing at press time.
